I. William Porter Whitney, b. at Knowlesville, in Ridgeway, N. Y., 10 Dec. 1832; a farmer; married at Grand Rapids, Mich., 19 Ap. 1853, Jane Temperance Withey, whose father then lived at Paris, Mich. She was born at Almond, N. Y., 2 March 1832, dau. of Alanson Bradley and Eunice (Haskins) Withey, and g. dau. of Micah and Sally (Hazleton) Haskins. They dwelt at Wyoming, Mich., for ten years; at Paris, one year; and then moved, in 1864, to Byron, Mich., where they were living, without children, in March 1875. He has been justice of the peace, and has been supervisor of the town of Byron since 1867.

II. Clarissa Adelia Whitney, b. at Knowlesville, in Ridgeway, N. Y., 23 Oct. 1842; married at Grand Rapids, Mich., 31 Aug. 1867, John W. Sullivan. They were living at Fisher, Mich., in 1873.

I. Mary Jane Whitney, b. at Shelby, N. Y., 20 Nov. 1835; married at Barre, N. Y., 13 May 1860, by Rev. J. F. Mason, Methodist, to Charles Henry Corey, a farmer, son of John and Zerna (Bentley) Corey, of Shelby, where he was born 8 June 1837. They dwelt at Barre for six months; at Shelby till 1864; at Ridgeway for six months; and then returned to Shelby, where they were living in 1873.

II. Martha Ann Whitney, b. at Shelby, N. Y., 31 March 1842; married there, in her father's house, 3 July 1870, by Rev. Ebenezer Edwards, Baptist, to Benjamin House Dunlap, a farmer, son of William and Betsey (Hunt) Dunlap, of Shelby, where he was born 11 Aug. 1840. They settled at Shelby, and were living there, without children, in 1873.
