Montville Cemetery. She was married (2d), 3 June 1860, at Windsor, by Rev. William Bear, Methodist, to Marvin Richmond, son of Lansing and Asenath Richmond, of Windsor, where he was born. They were living at Windsor in 1874.
5035 III. Emeline Maria Whitney, b. at Montville, Ohio, 10 March 1833; married there, 26 Sept 1852, Edward Bailey, a farmer, son of Philo and Semantha (Root) Bailey, of Goshen, Conn., where he was born 27 May 1824. They dwelt at Goshen for three years; and then settled at Montville, where they were living in 1874. 12731
5036 IV. Julia Marilla Whitney, b. at Montville, Ohio, 16 March 1835; married at Parkman, Ohio, 1 Sept. 1857, by Rev. Ely Pratt, Methodist, to Daniel Tucker, a farmer, son of Thomas and Martha (Runney) Tucker, of Appledore, Kent, Eng., formerly of Warehorn, in the same county, where he was born 29 Ap. 1824. They dwelt at Montville till 1861; at Bloomfield, Ohio, till 1868; and then returned to Montville, where they were living in 1874. 12736
5037 V. Nelson Veits Whitney, b. at Montville, Ohio, 27 March 1806; died there 28 March 1836, and was buried in the Montville Cemetery.
5038 VI. Watson Clock Whitney, b. at Montville, Ohio, 18 March 1838; a shoe-manufacturer; married, 26 Feb. 1867, by Rev. Robert Dixon, Presbyterian, at her father's house, 94 East Walnut Street, New Lisbon, Ohio, to Martha Jane Rogers, who was born in the same house, 18 July 1848, dau. of George Augustus and Ann (Shinn) Rogers. He left his father's house about 20 Nov. 1857; went to Garrettsville, Ohio, which he made his home for nine years, during which time he spent one year in Ravenna, Ohio, and Coldwater, Mich.; lived in New Lisbon from Nov. 1866 to 1 Ap. 1870; and then removed to Portland, Mich., where he lived in 1874. 12746
5039 VII. Veits Buttles Whitney, b. at Montville, Ohio, 4 July 1840; died there 18 June 1841, and was buried in Montville Cemetery.
5040 VIII. Almon Veits Whitney, b. at Montville, Ohio, 25 March 1842; a teacher; married at 321 Monroe Street, Chicago, Ill., 26 May 1867, by Rev. W. 0. Dandy, Methodist Episcopal, to Clara Elvira Coe, born in Newbury, Ohio, 4 Oct. 840, dau. of John Tibbals and Nancy (Wilkins) Coe. He has lived in Goshen, Conn., for one year; in Montville, thirteen years; in Rock Co., Wis., eight months; in New Lisbon, Ohio, eighteen months; in Streator, Ill., two years; and, in 1870, settled at 1 Church Street, Sheridan, Ill., where they were living in Jan. 1874. He was then secretary of the Illinois State Temperance Union, and editor of its official organ, The Temperance Union. 12748
