5206 I. Barnard Whitney, b. at Oyster Bay, L. I., 11 March 1825; died at Paterson, N. J., 9 Nov. 1831, and was buried there, in Sandy Hill Cemetery.
5207 II. Samuel Suydam Whitney, b. at Oyster Bay, L. I., 30 June 1827; married at 7 West Street, Passaic City, N. J., 30 Ap. 1853, by Rev. Ebenezer Wiggins, Prot. Ref. Dutch, to Carolina Paxton, dau. of Richard and Charlotte (Colie) Paxton, of Paterson. She was born at Irvington, in Camptown, N. J. They settled at Passaic City, and were living there in May 1875, without children. He enlisted, 30 May 1861, in Co. I, 2d Reg., N. J. Volunteers; and was discharged 30 Jan. 1863.
5208 III. Edward Kellogg Whitney, b. at Oyster Bay, L. I., 17 Sept. 1828; a clerk; married in the Presbyterian Church at Paterson, N. J., 4 Sept 1849, by Rev. Mr. Lichenaw, to Margaret Smith, who was born in Dublin, Ireland, and came to this country when a child. He died at Paterson, 23 March 1852, and was buried in Sandy Hill Cemetery. She was living at Orange, N. J., in May 1875. 12990
5209 IV. Mark William Henry Whitney, b. at the corner of Cross and White Streets, Paterson, N. J., 13 June 1831; a carpenter; married in the Second Presbyterian Church of Orange, N. J., 11 Nov. 1855, by Rev. John Crowell, to Eleanor Antoinette Harrison, dau. of John and Margaret (Jacobus) Harrison, of Cedar Grove and Little Falls, N. J. She was born, 24 Sept 1837, at Cedar Grove. They settled at Paterson, and were living there in May 1875. He served for about two years and two months, in Co. E, 72d Reg., N. Y. S. Volunteers (2d Excelsior Brigade); and was also in the 12th Reg., N. Y. Militia, in the war of 1861. 12992
5210 V. Charles Dennis Whitney, b. at Paterson, N. J., 17 March 1833; a clerk; married at Paterson, 10 Sept. 1859, Emma Jane McCall, dau. of William Dorsey and Sarah Jane (Groucher) McCall, of Hamburgh, N. J., where she was born 28 Dec. 1843. He dwelt in Jersey City, N. J., from 1854 to 1862; and. then moved to Paterson, where they were living in May 1875, at 69 Paterson Street. 12995
5211 VI. Elias Marsh Whitney, b. at Paterson, N. J., 28 Ap. 1836; died there, 11 March 1837, and was buried in Sandy Hill Cemetery.
