In 1635, Musketaquid was renamed Concord. It boundary withe Billerica was adjusted in 1701, and that with Stow in 1717. Part was given up to Littleton in 1725. Bedford was created from it in 1729, and Acton in 1735. Part was ceded to Lincoln in 1754. Carlisle was created from it in 1780. Its bounds with Carlisle were adjusted in 1903.
