Family:Whitney, Charlotte (c1799-1886)

Charlotte⁶ Whitney (Elisha⁵, Joshua⁴, Joshua³, David², Samuel¹), daughter of Elisha⁵ and Mary (Williams) Whitney, was born circa 1799, VA, and died 1886, Northampton Co., NC.

She married, circa 1820, Thomas Mann, son of Theoderick Mann. He was born circa 1798, Northampton Co., NC, and died 1847, Northampton Co., NC.

Children of Thomas and Charlotte⁶ (Whitney) Mann:

i.	Elizabeth Mann, b. ca. 1821, Northampton Co., NC.
ii.	George Washington Mann, b. ca. 1826, d. 1858.
iii.	Willis H. Mann, b. ca. 1833, d. 1864.
iv.	Mary S. Mann, b. ca. 1830.
v.	Louisa E. Mann, b. ca. 1843.

Charlotte was the sister of Elsey Whitney who married Miles Bryan in Northampton Co., NC in 1831. Elsey Whitney must be the child that is not correctly or specifically named in Elisha Whitney's will in 1801 Southampton Co., VA. The will says 5 children however 2 have the same name spelling.
