John Whitney, parentage unknown, born circa 1815, 1818, or 1821, Bryngwyn, Radnorshire, Wales, died after 1851.

He is probably the John Whitney, bp. 9 Aug 1817, Bryngwyn, son of James and Mary (-----) Whitney.

He married, sometime before 1841, Elizabeth -----. She was born circa 1818, Colver (Colva?), Radnorshire, Wales.

In 1841 and 1851, they resided in Aberystruth where John was listed as a labourer.

i.	Mary Ann Whitney, b. ca. 1841, probably Aberystruth, Monmouthshire, Wales. She probably died before 1844, or may have been the same daughter as the Mary Ann b. ca. 1844 if that daughter's age was understated in the 1851 census.
