Sir Thomas Champneys, 1st Baronet (Richard, Elizabeth Chaundler, Richard, Robert, Richard, Elizabeth Robage, Anne Whitney, Robert, Robert [perhaps] Robert, Eustace, Robert, Robert, Robert, Eustace, Eustace, Robert, ...) was born 9 October 1745 and died 2 July 1821 in Hampshire.
He married firstly, 5 Jul 1768, Caroline Anne Cox, daughter of Richard and Caroline (Codrinton) Cox. She died 1791.
He married secondly, after 1791, Henrietta Minchin, daughter of Humphrey Minchin. She died January 1827.
Sir Thomas Champneys, 1st Bt. matriculated Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, England on 16 May 1764. He was created 1st Baronet Champneys, of Orchadleigh, co. Somerset on 26 January 1767. He held the office of Sheriff of Somerset between 1775 and 1776. He lived after 1776 in Jamaica.

July 2. In Hampshire, after a lingering illness, Sir Thomas Champneys, bart. aged 76, of a very ancient family in the West of England. He was born October 9, 1745; was created a baronet Jan. 1767; married, first, Caroline-Anne, dau. of Richard Cox, of Quarley, Hants, esq. who dying in 1791, he married, secondly, a dau. of Humphrey Kirchin, of Stubbington, Hants, esq. He is succeeded in dignity and estate by his only surviving son, by his first wife, Thomas Swymmer Champneys, esq. of Orchadleigh Park, Somerset.

i. Sir Thomas Swymmer Mostyn-Champneys, 2nd Baronet, b. 21 May 1769, d. 21 November 1839.
