Abigail Perry (Abigail Adams, Lydia³ Whitney, Jonathan², John¹), daughter of Nathaniel and Abigail (Adams) Perry, was born 5 May 1715, Sherborn, MA,^[1] and died 8 Nov 1756, Mendon, MA.^[2]

She "of Sherborn" married firstly, 8 Feb 1738/9, Sherborn, MA, John⁵ Whitney "of Framingham",^[3] [q.v.].

She "of Framingham" married secondly, 29 Mar 1743, Framingham, MA, Ebenezer Chapin "of Mendon",^[4] son of Capt. Seth and Bethiah (Thurston) Chapin, as his first wife. He was born 23 Dec 1714, Mendon, MA, and died 19 Feb 1805, Mendon, MA. He married secondly, circa 1758, Milton, MA, Mary Vose. He married thirdly, 25 Apr 1776, Lydia (White) Staples.

John and Abigail (Perry) Whitney had no children.

iii.	Abigail Chapin, b. 10 Sep 1748; d. 1786, Windsor, MA; m. 1 Dec 1768, William H. Foster.
iv.	Ebenezer Chapin, b. 4 Jan 1752; d. 28 Jan 1829; m. 11 Sep 1774, Martha Green.
v.	Ruth Chapin, b. 29 Mar 1754; d. 6 Nov 1756.
