Family:Whitney, Abel (c1778-1836)

Abel⁷ Whitney (Abel⁶, Timothy⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Abel⁶ and Elizabeth (Spenny) Whitney, was born about 1778, and died 6 May 1836, Guilford, VT.

He married firstly, before 1798, Anna -----. She died between 24 Aug 1805 and 22 Sep 1808.

He married secondly, 22 Sep 1808 or 1809, Guilford, VT, Betsey Phillips.^[1] She was born between 1784 and 1790, and died after 1840.

Children of Abel⁷ and Anna (-----) Whitney:

i.	Leonard8 Whitney, b. 13 Nov 1798, Guilford, VT;[2] m. Elizebeth Harrington.
ii.	George Whitney, b. 29 Oct 1801, Guilford, VT;[3] living 1870, apparently unmarried.
iii.	Roxsiana Whitney, b. 24 Aug 1805, Guilford, VT;[4] d. 31 Dec 1861, Guilford, VT; unmarried.

Children of Abel⁷ and Betsey (Phillips) Whitney:

iv.	William8 Whitney, b. 18 Jun 1809, Guilford, VT;[5] d. 23 May 1810, Guilford, VT.
