Adelbert7 Whitney (Richard Lewis6, Henry5, Eliasaph4, Nathan3, John2, Henry1), son of Richard Lewis6, was born 4 Dec 1844, Rochester, NY, and died 13 Jul 1919, Rochester, NY. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY.[1]

He married, 15 May 1867, Rochester, NY, Caroline Bangs, daughter of John Randolph and Mary Ann (Coles) Bangs. She was born 9 Nov 1850, Rochester, NY, and died 26 Aug 1925, Rochester, NY. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, NY.[2]

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a dry-goods salesman . . . . They dwelt at Rochester till May 1869; at Indianapolis, Ind., till Nov. 1869; and then settled at Mount Morris, N.Y., where they were living in 1874. He was a member of Co. E, 54th Reg., N. G. S. N. Y.; and did some guard-duty at Elmira, N.Y., in 1864."
