Alfred8 Whitney (Horace7, Joel6, Jonas5, David4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Horace7 and Mary (Sawin) Whitney, was born 8 Aug 1840, Hubbardston, MA.

He married, 19 Jun 1864, Fitchburg, MA, Cordelia Knowles, both of Leominster, daughter of George W. and Lucinda C. (-----) Knowles.[1] She was born 5 Mar 1846, St. Albans, VT.

He resided Claremont, NH.
