Alpheus7 Whitney (Hananiah6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Hananiah6 and Azubah (Keyes) Whitney, was born 29 May 1792, Winchendon, MA.

He married, Abigail -----. She was born in Waltham, MA. Probably she was the widow Abigail (Case) Whitney, daughter of Joseph and Abigail (-----) Case, born about 1800, Waltham, MA, who married secondly, 9 Sep 1845, Dana, MA, Thomas Stimpson, widower, son of James and Sally (-----) Stimpson, born about 1764.[1] She died after 1860, and probably before 1870.

Children of Alpheus7 and Abigail (?Case?) Whitney, possibly incomplete:

i. George H.8 Whitney, b. ca. 29 Mar 1827, Waltham, MA; d. 20 Apr 1874, Dana, MA, aged 47 years 21 days, of lung fever, farmer;[2] m. 2 Jun 1861, Dana, MA, Frances M. Billings, both of Dana.[3]
ii. Martha Whitney, b. ca. 1829; m. 8 Aug 1846, Dana, MA, James W. Stevens.[4]
iii. Mary C. Whitney, b. ca. Apr 1832, Winchendon, MA; d. 27 Sep 1876, Greenwich, MA, aged 44 years 5 months, of consumption;[5] m. 24 Mar 1875, Greenwich, MA, Lucius R. Blackimer.[6]
