Ami⁸ Whitney (Theodore⁷, Ami⁶, Jonathan⁵, Jonathan⁴, Jonathan³, Benjamin², John¹), son of was born 24 May 1837, Niagara, NY, and died 14 Apr 1873, Rochester, NY.

He married, 25 Aug 1862, Plainwell, MI, Catherine Rose Mills. She was born 2 Sep 1844, died 25 Jan 1866.

He was born in Niagara, NY, where he resided for many years. He was united in marriage in Plainwell, MI, where he was engaged for some time in the retail boot and shoe business. Was county clerk there for sometime. For a few years before his death he was in very poor health, and was obliged to spend his winters in the south or west. He resided Rochester, NY.
