Amos7 Whitney (Hezekiah6, Elias5, Lemuel4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), son of Hezekiah6 and Sarah (Piper) Whitney, was born Stow, MA, and was baptized 1 Aug 1784, Stow, MA.[1]

Marriage intentions were published 11 Dec 1813, Stow, MA, for him and Patty Wilder "of Sterling".[2] She was born 21 Jun 1784, Sterling, MA, and died 5 Oct 1837.

He was a farmer; resided Stow, MA.

ii. Luceba C. Whitney, b. 6 Sep 1816, Stow, MA; d. 30 Nov 1865, Sterling, MA, aged 49 years, of phthisis;[6] m. 24 Jul 1849, Stow, MA, Silas Newton, b. ca. 1816, son of Silas Newton.[7] He was a blacksmith and d. 19 Feb 1856. Children:

He is a painter; resided Lincoln Square, Worcester, MA.
v. Martha Maria Whitney, b. 16 May 1823; d. 11 Feb 1902, Worcester, MA, aged 79 years 8 months 25 days, of apoplexy;[11] m. 10 or 20 Sep 1844, William Augustus Shumway,[12] b. 9 Sep 1813; d. 9 Sep 1867; was a teamster from Boston to Worcester before railroads; also a farmer, res. 63 Orange St., Worcester.
