Artemas7 Whitney (John6, John5, Abraham4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of John6 and Mary (Mundy) Whitney, was born 27 Feb 1814, Goffstown, NH, and died Aug 1879.

He "of Goffstown, N.H." married firstly, 24 Mar 1844, Lynn, MA, Louisa Phillips.[1] She was born about 1826, ME, and died after 1860.

He "of Goffstown, N.H." married secondly, 24 Oct 1862, Lawrence, MA, Jennie H. Barnes "of Lawrence", daughter of Thomas and Mary (-----) Barnes.[2] She was born about 1831, Henniker, NH, and died after 1880.

He died without issue, so all of his children must have predeceased him.

i. Harriett Phillips8 Whitney, b. ca. Feb 1845; d. 22 Jun 1846, Lynn, MA, aged 1 year 4 months, of typhus fever.[3]
ii. John H. Whitney, b. 7 Nov 1847, New London, NH; d. 29 Jan 1852.
iii. George H. Whitney, b. ca. 1855, NH; d. after 1870.
