Asaph K.7 Whitney (Asaph6, Jonathan5, Benjamin4, Benjamin3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Asaph6 and Bethiah (Hopkins) Whitney, was born 27 Jan 1822, and died 2 Feb 1865, Savannah, GA, in the Civil War. He was buried in Laurel Grove North Cemetery, Lot 1544, Savannah, GA.

He married Laurana Tallmadge, daughter of John Talmage and Olive Stanton Talmadge. She was born 17 Jun 1820, Scipio, NY. (FindAGrave # 178588674)
