Benjamin4 Whitney (Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Joseph3 and Martha (Beach) Whitney, was born 30 or 31 Jan 1684/5, Watertown, MA[1], and died between 14 Jun 1736 and 19 Oct 1736, Watertown, MA.

Although not married to her, he had a child with Sarah Phillips. She was baptized 4 Aug 1689, Watertown, MA. She married, circa 1718, Watertown, MA, John Barnard.

Benjamin married, 1 Mar 1709/10, Watertown, MA, Elizabeth Fiske "both of Watertown",[2] daughter of John and Abigail (Parks) Fiske. She was born 20 Jan 1685/6, Watertown, MA.

On 7 Dec 1702, Watertown, MA, guardian bond was posted by Isaac Beach of Newton, husbandman, with Joseph Whitney and John Whitney of Watertown, sureties, as guardian of Benjamin Whitney, aged 17 years and up, son of Joseph Whitney, late of Watertown, decd.; he had chosen his uncle, Isaac Beach as guardian.

On 18 Nov 1733, Watertown, MA, Elizabeth Whitney was admitted to full communion.[3]

He left a will on 14 Jun 1736 at Watertown, MA. Barry, History of Framingham, p. 436, says his will was probated in 1736, and that he left Benjamin, Samuel, Joseph and Elizabeth.

19 Oct 1736, will of Benj. Whitney late of Watertown lodged. Joseph Whitney cited the widow and all heirs.

8 Nov 1736, Joseph Whitney appointed executor, and posted bond, with John Whitney and John Taynter, sureties, all of Watertown.[4]
