Benjamin D. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born about 1888, Cicero, NY, and died 8 Jun 1888, Cicero, NY.[1]

He married before 1850, Evaline Christman, daughter of Peter and Anna Eveline (Deharsh) Christman. She was born about 1815, Sullivan, NY, and died between 1870 and 1875, Brewerton, NY.

The 1880 census says that his father was born in Italy, his mother in Holland. His admission to the Onondaga Co. Poor House says his father had been a contractor, and mother was born in Ulster Co., NY.

He was admitted to the Onondaga Co., NY, Poor House on 21 May 1888, aged 77, widower, born in Cicero, NY, 4 children living, intemporate.[2]
