Benjamin Franklin7 Whitney (Joseph Lee6, Jeremiah5, Jeremiah4, Nathan3, John2, Henry1), son of Joseph Lee6 and Phebe (Mead) Whitney, was born 28 Apr 1830, Reading, NY, and died after 1900.

He married, 6 Jul 1854, Arcade, NY, Lurinda Adeline Haggerty, daughter of Reynold and Sarah Ann (Perkins) Haggerty. She was born 13 Jul 1834, Ellisburgh, NY, and died after 1900.

Phoenix says the following:

". . . a farmer . . . . They dwelt for nine years at Sardinia, N.Y.; nine years at Yorkshire, N.Y.; and three years at Machias, N.Y., which was their home in Aug. 1875."
