Braddock S.8 Whitney (William Greenlaw7, Enoch6, Moses5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of William Greenlaw7 and Agnes (Smith) Whitney, was born 17 Sep 1847, Lee, ME,[1] and died 19 Jan 1903, Lee, ME.

He married, 20 Jun 1871, Almatia Lane, daughter of Lewis W. and Clara (Lancaster) Lane of Lincoln, ME. She was born 28 Mar 1848, ME, and died 19 Mar 1912, Enfield, ME (recorded in Burlington, ME). They were divorced in 1890, Lee, ME. She, as "Almacia Lane", married secondly, 8 Jun 1891, Lee, ME, Samuel Lsgrove Tobin. He died 3 Jul 1902, Lee, ME.

In the 1880 Census of Lincoln, Penobscot Co., ME, Almasha and sons Charles and William are living with her parents, Lewis and Clara Lane.

Probate record: Braddock S. & Almatia Whitney, parents, of Lee, ME, relinguishing son Charles Whitney, age 4 (on 25 Jun) to Lewis and Clara Lane of Lincoln. Child does not lose inheritance rights from biological parents. Dated Nov 1876. He m. 24 Jun 1901, Burlington, ME, Lena Robbins.
ii. William Whitney, b. 23 Sep 1875, ME; d. 1940, ME; m. 20 Dec 1908, Chester, ME, Elsie Kimball.
iii. (son) Whitney, b. ca. May 1880, ME; d. bef. 1900.
