Charles Baker8 Whitney (Richard7, Timothy6, Timothy5, Jonas4, Moses3, Richard2, John1), born Lanesboro, Massachusetts, 6 Oct 1827; married at Albany, New York, Mar., 1854, Laura L. Sherman, born Mar., 1828; died 16 Jul 1865; married 2d at Dorchester, 5 Jun 1867, Abbie Glover Pope, born 1 Oct 1840.

He was born in Lanesboro, on the old Whitney place, where he resided for many years. For a long time he was manager of the Briggs iron works there, until his removal to Dorchester, Massachusetts, where he passed the remainder of his life. He died Apr. 13, 1872; resided Lanesboro, Massachusetts.

Children of Charles Baker8 Whitney:

i. George Arthur Whitney, born 4 Jul 1856; unmarried; resided 592 Adams St., Dorchester, Massachusetts.
ii. Frank Pope Whitney, born 20 Jul 1869; resided 592 Adams St., Dorchester, Massachusetts.
