Charles O.9 Whitney (Samuel Franklin8, Samuel7, Samuel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Samuel Franklin8 and Eve (Doane) Whitney, was born 7 May 1850, Kirtland, OH, and "Rev." died 27 May 1929, Summit Co., OH.

He married firstly, 27 Nov or 5 Dec 1869, Lake Co., OH, Emma M. Curtis.

He married secondly, between 1920 and 1929, Rev. Ellen R. -----. She was born 1863, and died 1950.

Possibly the same as "Elias" (i.e. "Chas.") in 1860 census. Doctor of Divinity. He, aged 76, arrived in San Francisco, CA, from Havana, Cuba, on the "Manchuria". Buried Easton Memorial Cemetery, Doylestown, Wayne Co., OH.
