Chauncey Hall⁹ Whitney (Noah⁸, David⁷, Silas⁶, David⁵, Benjamin⁴, Thomas³, Thomas², John¹), son of Noah⁸ and Mercy (French) Whitney, was born 14 Jul 1836, Hinsdale, NH, and died 14 Mar 1913, Templeton, MA.

He married firstly, 25 Mar 1858, Fitchburg, MA, Sarah Crawford, daughter of Joseph Crawford.^[1] She was born about 1837, Hebron, NY, and died before 1870.

He married secondly, 17 Jun 1873, Petersburg, NY, or Phillipston, MA, Mary F. Hager, daughter of James W. and Susan (-----) Hager.^[2] She was born 25 Feb 1855, Worcester, MA, and died after 1900.

He resided Templeton, MA.
