Daniel6 Whitney (Elijah5, Daniel4, John3, John2, John1), son of Elijah5 and Hannah (Coffin) Whitney, was born Roxbury, MA, baptized 24 Jan 1741/2, Brookline, MA,[1] and died 3 May 1821, Warwick, MA, aged 79 years.[2] He was buried in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, MA.[3]

Marriage intentions were published 21 Jan 1769, Brookline, MA, for him and Sarah Gay "both of Brookline".[4] He married, 7 Mar 1769, Roxbury, MA, Sarah Gay.[5] She was born said 27 Feb 1747, and died 20 Sep 1824, Warwick, MA,[6] aged 78 years. She was buried in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, MA.[7]

He resided Boston and Warwick, MA.

vi. Sophia Whitney, b. 12 Jul 1778, Warwick, MA;[16] d. 15 or 5 Mar 1861, Warwick, MA, aged 83 years 9 months, of old age;[17] bur. Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, MA;[18] unmarried.
vii. Betty Whitney, b. 11 Aug 1781, Warwick, MA;[19] "Betsey" d. 17 Jan 1813, Warwick, MA, aged 31 years; bur. Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, MA;[20] unmarried.
