Daniel² Whitney (James¹, ), born Ludlow, Vermont, in 1777; married in Ludlow, 25 Feb 1796, Content Stiles; born in 1777; died in 1863. He was a cordwainer. He died in 1863; resided St. Johnsbury, Vermont.

ii.	Calvin Whitney, born 19 Feb 1806; married Roxana Wheelock.
iii.	Ira Whitney, born -----; married Lucinda Hudson; a dau. is Mrs. Julia Strong; resided Cavendish, Vermont.
iv.	Hiram Whitney, born -----; 1818; married Arvilla Herrick.
v.	Betsey Whitney, born -----; married Harsha Nickols, and went west.
vi.	Content Whitney, born -----; married Hezekiah Mooe; a son Nelson resided in Shrewsbury, Vermont.
vii.	Salome Whitney, born -----; married Handel Webster; son Addison resided Plymouth, Vermont.
viii.	Nancy Whitney, born -----; married James Merrell; a son Henry resided Reading, Vermont.
ix.	Mary Whitney, born -----; married Obediah Miller; died s. p.
