David M. Whitney, parentage unknown, was born Feb 1848, NY, and died 3 Aug 1923, Syracuse, NY.[1] He was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.[2]

He married, 16 Jul 1894, Baldwinsville, NY, Loretta (Smith) Calland,[3] daughter of Henry and Almeda (Wolcott) Smith. She was born Dec 1850 or 2 Jan 1851, NY, and died 23 Dec 1915. She was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.[4] She had married firstly, James H. Calland. He died 30 May 1889, and was buried in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville, NY.[5]
