Francis6 Whitney (Ezekiel5, John4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Ezekiel6 and Ruth (Gilbert) Whitney, was born 23 Apr 1771, Watertown, MA,[1] and died after 1820.

Marriage intentions were published 10 Sep 1811, Watertown, MA, for him "of Watertown" and Mary Marshall "of Dover".[2] He "of Watertown" married, 24 Nov 1811, Dover, MA,[3] Mary Marshall, daughter of Jacob and Mary (Morse) Marshall. She was born 9 May 1792, Natick, MA, and died 25 Feb 1872, Boston, MA, aged 79 years 7 months, of old age and inflammation of parotid gland.[4]

iii. Lydia F. Whitney, b. about Mar 1817, Sudbury, MA; d. 17 Apr 1876, Norfolk, MA, aged 59 years 1 month, of cancer in stomach;[9] m. 30 Mar 1837, Medfield, MA, Jotham Davis Morse,[10] as his first wife.
iv. Francis Whitney, b. about 6 Aug 1818; d. 30 Apr 1819, Natick, MA, aged 8 months 24 days.[11]
v. (almost certainly) Francis Whitney, b. 2 Aug 1822, Watertown, MA; m. Olive S. (Pingree) Littlehale.
