Frederick H.⁷ Whitney (Barnabas⁶, Timothy⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Barnabas⁶ and Harriet (Heileman) Whitney, was born 25 Sep 1807, VT, and died 24 Aug 1864, Trenton, NJ.

He married, 10 Nov 1831, Boston, MA, Abigail B. Bumstead,^[1] daughter of Josiah and Mary G. (Andrews) Bumstead. She was born 18 Oct 1812 and died 5 Mar 1891, Boston, MA, aged 78 years, of paralysis and heart failure.^[2]

He resided Boston, MA.

iii.	Catherine Lillie Whitney, b. 1838, Boston, MA; d. 18 May 1861; m. 1859, New York City, NY, Walter Scott Tower. Ch.: Paul, d. 1861.
iv.	Josiah Bumstead Whitney, b. 15 Jul 1846, Dedham, MA; m. 12 Jul 1870, Boston, MA, Elizabeth Gately, b. ca. 1851, Milton, MA, dau. of Thomas and Ellen (-----) Gately.[4] Not in 1870 or 1880 censuses; no death record found in MA before 1910.
