George K.8 Whitney (Moses7, Hananiah6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Moses7 and Sophia (Cutter) Whitney, was born 14 Jul 1826, Boston, MA, and died 14 Oct 1899, Boston, MA, aged 73 years, of paralysis resulting in cerebral hemorrhage.[1]

He married, 7 Mar 1852, Stoneham, Frances Maria Green. She was born 25 May 1832, Stoneham, MA, and died 21 Feb 1854, Stoneham, MA.

Son Arthur's name changed to Arthur Head Whitney by probate court, and he m. 14 Jun 1910, Fitchburg, MA, Estelle Gertrude Gibson, b. ca. 1888, Fitchburg, MA, dau. of Clement H. C. and Lizzie C. (Barrett) Gibson.[8]
