Henry6 Whitney (Benjamin5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Benjamin5 and Deliverance (-----) Whitney, was born 8 Jan 1745/6, Watertown, MA,[1] was baptized 12 Jan 1745/6, Watertown, MA,[2] and died before 2 Oct 1788.

He "of Watertown" married 5 Jan 1769, Newton, MA, Hannah Tombs.[3]

Pierce says the following:[4]

He was in one of the Watertown companies in the Revolutionary war.

i. Benjamin7 Whitney, b. 10 Mar 1769, Watertown, MA;[5] bapt. 28 Oct 1781, Watertown, MA;[6] no further record.
ii. Lydia Whitney, b. 28 Dec 1770, Watertown, MA; d. 1776.
iii. Anna Whitney, b. 17 Dec 1774, Watertown, MA; d. 24 Dec 1776, Watertown, MA. Her name was alternately Hannah Whitney.
iv. Elizabeth Whitney, b. aft. 8 Sep 1769; "Betsey" m. 30 Aug 1789, Dummerston, VT, Seth Knight.[7]
v. Henry Whitney, b. 18 Jan 1779, Watertown, MA; m. Fanny Miller.
