Henry Martin9 Whitney (John Dudley8, Jonathan7, Jonathan6, Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of John Dudley8 and Elizabeth (Doughty) Whitney,[1] was born 9 Jun 1854, Acton, MA,[2] and died 5 Apr 1930, Concord, MA.[3]

He married, 9 Jun 1875, Carlisle, MA, Cora Fiske,[4] daughter of Robert and Susan Ann (Whitney) Fiske9 She was born 8 Feb 1858, Weston, MA, and died 4 Oct 1933, Concord, MA. They were both buried in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord, MA.

Notes

He may have been named after Henry Martyn (1781-1812), an Anglican missionary to India and Persia, remembered for his courage, selflessness and his religious devotion.
