Henry Wolsey6 Whitney (Ezekiel5, James4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), son of Ezekiel5 and Patience (Bailey) Whitney, was born 24 Jun 1806, Rensselaerville, NY, and died after Nov 1873.

He married firstly, 5 Sep 1825, Saugerties, NY, Anna Eliza Schoonmaker, daughter of Jacob M. and Polly (Swart) Schoonmaker. She was born 13 Feb 1806, Saugerties, NY, and died 26 Apr 1839, Saugerties. She was buried in Saugerties Cemetery.

He married secondly, 21 Sep 1839, Spottswood, NJ, Maria (Phillips) Williams, daughter of Zechariah and Elizabeth (Hallenbeck) Phillips. She was born 9 Dec 1809, Greenbush, NY, and died after 1880. She had married firstly, Robert Williams.

Phoenix says the following:

"Henry Wolsey Whitney, b. at Rensselaerville, N. Y., 24 June 1806; a mason; married, 5 Sept 1825, at Saugerties, N. Y., Ann Eliza Schoonmaker, who was born at Saugerties, 13 Feb. 1806, dau. of Jacob M. and Polly (Swart) Schoonmaker, of Saugerties. She died at the latter place, 26 Ap. 1839, and was buried in Saugerties Cemetery. He married (2d), 21 Sept. 1839, at Spottswood, N. J., Maria Phillips, who was born in Greenbush, N. Y., 9 Dec. 1809, dau. of Zechariah and Elizabeth (Hallenbeck) Phillips, and widow of Robert Williams. They were living at 9 Bridge Street, Saugerties, in Nov. 1873."
