Hiram H.6 Whitney (Henry5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Henry5 and Abigail (Walker) Whitney, was born 8 Sep 1815, Chesterville, ME, and died 6 Jul 1870, Melrose, MA, aged 54 years 10 months, of internal tumor.[1]

He married, 22 Mar 1842, Boston, MA, or 21 Mar 1843, Boston, MA, Susan P. Lunt,[2] daughter of Joshua and Abigail (Freese) Lunt. She was born 10 Jul 1814, Stillwater, ME, and died 1 Dec 1895, Lowell, MA, aged 81 years 4 months 21 days, of senile anaemia.[3]

He was a merchant. He resided Boston and Melrose, MA.

iii. Charles Sumner Whitney, b. 30 May 1856, Melrose, MA;[7] resided Miles City, MT.
