Family:Whitney, Ira (1787-a1870)

Ira⁷ Whitney (John⁶, Nathan⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazer³, Thomas², John¹), son of John⁶ and Joanna (Hamilton) Whitney, was born 17 Jun 1787, Readsboro, VT,^[1] and died 5 Sep 1870, Marcellus, NY, aged 84 years. He is buried in the Old Marcellus Village Cemetery.^[2]

He married, before 1817, Betsey Goddard, daughter of Martin and Charlotte (Webber) Goddard. She was born about 1796, Granby, CT, and died 10 Jul 1868, aged 73 years. She is buried in the Old Marcellus Village Cemetery.^[3]
