Ira L. W.⁸ Whitney (Lorenzo Dow⁷, Ira⁶, Hezekiah⁵, Hezekiah⁴, Joseph³, John², Henry¹), son of Lorenzo Dow⁷ and Mahala (Dike) Whitney, was born Sep 1855, Fletcher, VT, and died 30 Jul 1924, Nashua, NH, aged 66 years 10 months 29 days, of carcinoma of bladder.

He married firstly, 16 Jun 1877, Fletcher, VT, Victoria E. Scribner, daughter of William and Martha L. (Adams) Scribner.^[1] She was born about 1861, Westmore, VT, and died before 1887.

He married secondly, 23 Dec 1887, Westford, VT, Edna Burdick, daughter of Cornelius V. and Caroline (White) Burdick. She was born Dec 1869, Fletcher, VT, and died 27 Aug 1923, Nashua, NH, aged 52 years 8 months 2 days, of nephritis.
