Isaac7 Whitney (Cyrus6, Isaiah5, Isaiah4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of Cyrus6 and Mary (Whitney) Whitney, was born 24 Jul 1818, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 19 Mar 1859, Harvard, MA, aged 41 years, of insanity and exhaustion.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 24 May 1846, Harvard, MA, for him and Dorcas W. Hoar "of Littleton".[3] He "of Harvard" married, 10 Jun 1846, or 21 May 1846, Littleton, MA, Dorcas Whitney Hoar,[4] daughter of Reuben and Rebecca (Baker) Hoar, and granddaughter of Ezra and Dorcas6 (Whitney) Baker. They were first cousins once removed. She was born 9 Nov 1822, Littleton, MA, and died 16 Dec 1898, Harvard, MA. She married secondly, 26 Sep 1869, Harvard, MA, Isaac F. Wright, born about 1824, Littleton, MA, son of Ithamar and Patty (-----) Wright.[5]

He was born in Harvard and was educated at the public schools in that town and at Fayville, MA. He taught school and for a while resided in Keokuk, IA. After his marriage he settled on the old homestead, where he followed agricultural pursuits until his death. He resided Harvard, MA.
