John7 Whitney (Daniel6, Daniel5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Daniel6 and Sarah (Durant) Whitney, was born 28 May 1789, Stow, MA,[1] and died 2 or 22 Feb 1854, Stow, MA, aged 67 years 8 months 24 days, of scrofula.[2]

He apparently married firstly, 6 Mar 1817, Billerica, MA, Sarah Parker, daughter of Stephen and Mary (Durant) Parker.[3] She was born 14 Sep 1796, Billerica, MA, and died 9 Jul 1817, West Cambridge, MA.[4]

Marriage intentions were published 8 May 1819, Stow, MA, for him and Harriot Tower. He married, 13 Jun 1819, Stow, MA, Harriett Tower,[5] daughter of Augustus and Mary (Jones) Tower. She was born 28 Sep 1799, and died 16 Mar 1873, Stow, MA, aged 73 years. She married secondly, 18 Jun 1857, Stow, MA, Peter Fletcher, b. 22 Feb 1800, Stow or Phillipston, MA, son of Peter and Lucy (-----) Fletcher.[6]

John Whitney was a shoemaker. Immediately after his first marriage he settled in West Cambridge, MA, near what was then Tufts Tavern. Soon after the death of his first wife he returned to Billerica, and was living there in 1853.

He resided Stow, MA, s. p.

John7 and Sarah (Parker) Whitney had no children.

John7 and Harriet (Tower) Whitney had no children.
