John6 Whitney (John5, James4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of John5 and Polley (Jones) Whitney, was born 10 Dec 1789, Fitzwilliam, NH,[1] and died 1862, Fredonia, NY.
He married, 2 Mar or 2 May 1816, Fitzwilliam, NH, Mrs. Augusta (Fisk) Brooks,[2] daughter of Asa and Keziah (Badger) Fisk. She was born 2 Aug 1792, Sturbridge, MA, and died 1852. She had married firstly, 21 Apr 1811, Sterling, MA, Silas Brooks.
