John7 Whitney (John6, Abraham5, Abraham4, Isaiah3, Thomas2, John1), son of John6 and Sally (Stow) Whitney, was born 16 Mar 1813, Harvard, MA, was baptized 3 Jul 1814, Harvard, MA,[1], and died 27 Oct 1902, Newton, MA, aged 89 years 7 months 11 days, of catarrhal enteritis.[2]
He married firstly, 14 Nov 1843, Harvard, MA, Mary Ann Nurse,[3] daughter of David and Lois (Brown) Nurse. She was born 2 Feb 1814, Harvard MA, and died before 1855, said 11 Jun 1851.
He married secondly, 20 Jan 1855, Boston, MA, Mary Ann Elizabeth Sargent, daughter of James and Johanna (Watts) Sargent.[4] She was born about 2 Jun 1825, Boston, MA, and died 24 Apr 1905, Newton, MA, aged 80 years 10 months 22 days, of chronic bronchitis.[5]

ii. Florenia Watts Whitney (called Lavinia W. in 1860, Pauline in 1865, Florence W. in 1870, Florina in 1880, and Florena W. in 1900), b. 8 Dec 1856, Newton, MA;[8] d. after 1900, then unmarried. iii. John Clifton Whitney, b. 11 May 1859, Newton, MA;[9] d. after 1900, then unmarried.

This seems to be the right family, although the wife's given name is wrong, the daughter Marietta is called Mary A., and there is a conflict with Lavinia vs. Pauline vs. Florence vs. Florina.
