John C.7 Whitney (Jeremiah6, (poss.) John5, (poss.) Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Jeremiah6 and Lydia (Cole) Whitney, was born 9 Apr 1799, recorded at Weld, Franklin Co., ME, but probably Lewiston [1], and died Jul 1859, Weld, Franklin Co., ME.[2]

He married, 5 Mar 1822, Dixfield, Oxford Co., ME, Polly Temple of Weld. She was born about 1800, and died after 1850.

Children of John C.7 and Polly (Temple) Whitney, possibly incomplete:

i. Sarah8 Whitney, b. 19 April 1823, ME; d. 11 Feb. 1863; m. Cassander Brown.[3]
ii. (child) Whitney, b. say 1826.

Because of her age, it seems that Locina Whitney (below) would NOT be a daughter of this couple. She was living with Sarah (Whitney) Brown and her husband Cassander Brown in 1860. She is not found in 1870.
