He married firstly, 24 Apr 1879, Upton, MA, Mary Jane Edwards, daughter of Simeon and Eliza M. (-----) Edwards.[1] The marriage was also recorded at Amherst, MA.[2] She was born about 1855, Amherst, MA, and died 27 Aug 1890, Upton, MA, aged 36 years, of consumption.[3]
He married secondly, 3 Jun 1884, Upton, MA, Matilda F. (Saunders)(Whitten) Pendleton,[4] daughter of Levi B. and Asenath P. (Smith) Saunders. She was born 2 Nov 1843, Brewer, ME, and died after 1900. She had married firstly, 14 May 1861, Etna, ME, Martin C. Whitten. She had married secondly, 20 Dec 1867, ME, William Pendleton.
He resided Upton, MA, s.p.

Given the death date of the first wife, and the marriage date with the second wife, it would seem that a divorce must have happened.
