Jonathan6 Whitney (Joseph5, Benjamin4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Joseph5 and Mary (Child) Whitney, was born 12 Apr 1743, Watertown, MA,[1] was baptized 17 Apr 1743, Watertown, MA,[2] and died 3 Jun 1802, Watertown, MA.[3]
He married, 10 Oct 1765, Watertown, MA, Susanna Norcross "both of Watertown",[4] daughter of Nathaniel and Jemima (Abbot) Norcross. She was baptized 27 Jul 1746.
On 20 Jul 1766, Watertown, MA, Jonathan Whitney and Susanna Whitney owned the covenant.[5]
On 19 Jul 1767, Watertown, MA, Susanna Whitney was admitted to full communion.[6]
During the Revolutionary war he was in the Watertown company; resided Watertown, MA.

Susanna7 Whitney, b. 23 May 1766, Watertown, MA.[7] She may be the Susanna Whitney who had a son (presumably illegitimate) Samuel Fowle, b. 6 Oct 1799, Watertown, MA,[8] and died 9 May 1865, Medfield, MA, aged 65 years 7 months 6 days. Samuel's father was Samuel Fowle, probably the one born 18 Dec 1762, Watertown, MA, son of Edmund and Abigail5</supL> (Whitney) Fowle. If so, they were second cousins. ii. Mary Whitney, b. 10 Jan 1768, Watertown, MA;[9] bapt. 17 Jan 1768, Watertown, MA;[10] "Polly" "of Watertown" m. (int. 1 Sep 1793, Lincoln, MA,[11] and 9 Aug 1793, Watertown, MA[12]) 29 Aug 1793, Watertown, MA, John Dudley "of Lincoln".[13] iii. Jonathan Whitney, b. 15 Dec 1769, Watertown, MA;[14] bapt. 17 Dec 1769, Watertown, MA;[15] m. Lucy Parks. iv. Joseph Whitney, b. 16 Jun 1774, Watertown, MA;[16] m. Rebecca Priest. v.
