Family:Whitney, Joseph Winchester (1820-a1880)

Joseph Winchester⁹ Whitney (Stephen⁸, Moses⁷, Samuel⁶, Samuel⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Stephen⁸ and Annie (Winchester) Whitney, was born 26 Mar 1820, Marlboro, VT, and died after 1900.

He married, 22 Feb 1847, or 22 Dec 1845, Brattleboro, VT, Lucia Halladay.^[1] She was born 20 Mar 1822, and died 30 Jun 1880.

He resided Marlboro, Brattleboro, and Williamsville (in Newfane), VT.

ii.	Helen Adelle Whitney, b. 8 Jul 1863, or "Helen Axtell", b. 5 Jul 1862, Newfane, VT;[2] m. 14 Sep 1880, Brattleboro, VT, George Arthur Barrett, b. 1858, Brattleboro, VT, son of Alanson B. and Sarah (Miller) Barrett.[3]
