Lemuel6 Whitney (Jacob5, Jonas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Jacob5 and Rachel (Whiting) Whitney, was born 29 Apr 1765, Roxbury, MA, baptized 19 May 1765, Roxbury, MA, and died Oct 1814.

Intentions of marriage were published 2 Jun 1798, Watertown, MA, for him "of Watertown" and Grace (Morse) Esty "of Newton".[1] He married, 18 Jun 1798, Newton, MA, Grace (Morse) Esty "of Newton",[2] daughter of Obadiah and Grace (Fairbank) Morse. She was born 16 Mar 1763, Sherborn, MA, or 16 Mar 1764,[3] and died 15 Mar 1855, Charlestown, MA, aged 91 years, of old age.[4] She was buried in Framingham, MA. She had married firstly, 26 Apr 1787, Natick, MA, Reuben Esty (1763-1797).

i. Sally Morse7 Whitney, b. about 10 Feb 1800, Watertown, MA (calculated from age at death); d. 12 Mar 1845, Manchester, MA, aged 45 years 1 month 2 days, of consumption; m. (int. 4 Oct 1818, Watertown, MA, both "of Watertown"[5]) 25 Oct 1818, Newton, MA, Abradatus Farrow.[6] She was a church member in Framingham, MA, before 1845.
ii. (son) Whitney, b. 1800-1810, deduced from 1810 census record.
