Lyman7 Whitney (Nehemiah6, Walter5, Samuel4, Richard3, John2, Henry1), son of Nehemiah6, was born 16 Mar 1833, Stamford, NY, and died after 1880.
He married, 15 Jun 1862, Olive, MI, Julia Ann Alward, daughter of Henry and Rhoda (Dennis) Alward. She was born 7 Sep 1842, Norwich, Canada West, and died after 1900.
Phoenix says the following:
- ". . . a marble-cutter; left his father's house in Ogdensburgh, N.Y., 13 Oct. 1854, for Detroit, Mich., where he staid one month; then went to Lansing, Mich., where he dwelt ten years; . . . . Having left Lansing in 1864, they lived about two months in Freeport, Ill.; one year in Sigourney, Iowa; eight years in Lansing; two months in Alton, Ill.; three years in Edwardsville, Ill.; and three years in Jackson, Michigan. They left Jackson, 24 Ap. 1874, for Reading, Mich., where they were living in Aug. 1874."

Mary Elizabeth Whitney, b. 12 May 1867, Lansing, MI; m. 2 Apr 1885, Ingham Co., MI, Herman G. Larzelere; resided Buffalo, NY, in 1900.
