Marcus Fayette6 Whitney (Josiah Anson5, Richard4, Henry3, John2, Henry1), was born 4 Apr 1794, Paris, NY, and died about 1832, Poughkeepsie, NY.

He married, 1819, Mary Ann Stainer, of Quebec, QC, daughter of ----- and Ann (Thompson) Stayner. She was born 3 Feb 1801, Halifax, NS, and died 27 Dec 1858.

Widow living in Poughkeepsie in 1830 and 1840 censuses, not in 1850.
