Martin M.9 Whitney (Henry8, William Henry7, Henry6, Benjamin5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Henry8 and Lucy (Sprague) Whitney, was born 8 Feb 1846, North Adams, MA, or 23 Jun 1846, Adams, MA,[1] and died after 1900.

He married, 17 Feb 1866, Adams, MA, Martha Matilda Pellett, daughter of Gurdon and Martha (Towne) Pellett.[2] She was born about 1847, Adams, MA, and died 6 Aug 1906, North Adams, MA, aged 57 years 9 months 4 days, of meningitis.[3]

ii. Martha Whitney, b. 24 Feb 1870, Adams, MA;[7] m. 28 Nov 1888, North Adams, MA, Charles C. Fisher, son of Stamford M and Susan (-----) Fisher, b. ca. 1866, Brattleboro, Vt.[8]
