Michael William8 Whitney (Stephen7, Timothy6, Moses5, Timothy4, John3, John2, John1), son of Stephen7 and Ruth (Whittemore) Whitney, was born say 1810, West Roxbury, MA. He died 1859.

Marriage intentions were published, 8 Nov 1840, Quincy, MA, for him "Mr." and "Miss" Harriet C. Faxon, "both of Quincy".[1] He "Mr." married, 3 Dec 1840, Braintree, MA [Pierce], or 11 Dec 1840, Quincy, MA, "Miss" Harriett C. Faxon, "both of Quincy",[2] daughter of Benjamin and Lucy (Luffkin) Faxon. She was born 16 May 1813, Braintree, MA, and died 7 Aug 1850, Boston, MA, aged 36, of dysentery, married, born Quincy, dau. of Benjamin and Lucy Faxon.[3]

They resided Quincy, MA.

iv. Helen Faxon Whitney, b. 12 Nov 1847, Charlestown, MA;[7] d. 22 Dec 1882, Boston, MA, aged 35 years, of acute gastritis and peritonitis;[8] m. 14 Apr 1869, Boston or Quincy, MA, George H. Bridge, b. ca. 1846, Boston, MA, d. bef. 1882, son of William and Rebecca (-----) Bridge.[9]
