Nathan⁸ Whitney (Gary⁷, Israel⁶, Jonas⁵, Jonas⁴, Moses³, Richard², John¹), son of Gary⁷ and Patty (Hazen) Whitney, born 3 Nov 1816,^[1] Harvard, MA, and died 4 Sep 1886, Fitchburg, MA.

He married, 29 Apr 1845, Dublin, NH, Nancy Augusta Hay. She was born 28 May 1821,^[2] and died 3 Aug 1892.

He was a contractor. He resided Dublin, NH, and Fitchburg, MA.

vii.	Edgar Hay Whitney, b. 29 Dec 1858; unmarried. He is manager of a manufacturing company; resided 155 Congress St., Boston.
viii.	Ada Molissa Whitney, b. 12 Feb 1860; m. C. H. Norton, resided Egypt, MA.
ix.	Harry Loring Whitney, b. 4 Jul 1863; address 819 Main St., Buffalo, NY.
