Nathaniel7 Whitney (Nathaniel6, Samuel5, Nathaniel4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Nathaniel6 and Mary (Houghton) Whitney, was born 24 May 1779, Marlboro, VT,[1] and died 27 Jul 1852, Marlboro, VT.
He married firstly, 27 Feb 1803, Brattleboro, VT, Sally Stewart,[2] daughter of Gen. John Stewart of Brattleboro. She was born 19 Sep 1778, and died 18 Apr 1848.
He married secondly, 30 Nov 1848, Marlboro, VT, Lucy (Houghton) Hatch,[3] daughter of Philemon and Mary (Packard) Houghton. She was born 10 Feb 1798, Halifax, VT, and died 21 Jun 1867. She had married firstly, 20 Jan 1819, Marlboro, VT, Ezra Hatch (1797-1845).
He resided Marlboro, VT.

They had eleven children and only two are now living, Charles S. and Henry S. They both resided in Whitingham; the former has been chairman of the board of selectmen for years; is an extensive farmer. Henry has been postmaster for several years and is a retail dealer in musical instruments. v.
